“IMAGINE driving around with a MILLION pieces of sellotape making up a rear windscreen…
Well that’s what one driver in Reading did.
Police took to social media to post about the bizarre ordeal after they saw a car with a lot of sellotape on the back.
Instead of getting the rear windscreen fixed, the driver used a million strands of sellotape to piece together a make-shift windscreen.
The car was seized and the driver was issued with six points and a £300 fine.”

Perhaps the driver thought that no one would notice? In case there is any confusion, clear tape is NOT an adequate replacement for a glass windshield. At some point during travel that tape will become loose and potentially cause a hazard to other drivers on the road. Also, just because the tape is clear doesn’t mean visibility is acceptable. It would be like driving without defrosting your windows. That’s just not safe.
