“A Port Byron native says she’s lucky after a garbage can hit her car windshield while she was driving down a Texas highway.
Kathy Lanham’s dash cam caught the video.
An unsecured trash can flies out of the back of a truck and carried over three lanes of traffic before slamming into her windshield.
Lanham says the trash can had mulch in it and only cracked the windshield so she wasn’t hurt. But she was never able to get any information regarding the driver or the truck.”

It’s one of the most nerve-wracking situations you can find yourself in. You’re driving on the highway and all of a sudden a large object, seemingly out of nowhere, comes hurtling at your windshield. What do you do? In the majority of these cases, there is little time to react. You might have a moment to brace for an impact if you’re lucky.
Fortunately, the driver in this instance came away unscathed. The windshield remained intact but was cracked. Although the driver of the other vehicle has yet to be tracked down, her insurance should cover the repair costs as it was clearly no fault of her own.
