I have a claims line number on my insurance card. Should I call that first?
You have the right to choose your own repair facility under any circumstance. In fact it is in your best interest to do so. If you do call the claims line before calling our shop make sure that you tell the adjuster setting up the claim that you have chosen Advantage Auto Glass to replace your windshield. They will then contact our shop, and provide us with the information that we need for billing. They will then connect you with our shop to set an appointment.
Should I call my agent before calling you set up a claim?
Advantage has trained professionals ready to assist your in setting your claim. All you have to do is call Advantage and we’ll walk you through the claims process in about five minutes and get you on the schedule. If you would like us to contact your agent to inform them of the claim we will be happy to do so for you.
Will Advantage bill my insurance company for me?
Yes. We are a preferred shop for most and work directly with all insurance companies glass programs. We have pricing agreement in place and are able to bill them electronically to make the whole process as easy as possible for everyone.
Do I have to pay a deductible for my glass replacement?
In most cases the insurance company will waive any deductible that applies to your policy for glass replacement. There should be no out of pocket expense to you. We will make sure when setting up the claim that you know exactly what your policy covers before performing any work on your vehicle.
What if I only have liability coverage?
Your liability coverage will not cover glass replacement. If you have only liability coverage, Advantage has several options to keep the cost low and still provide you with the same great service and lifetime warranty. We also make paying for your new glass easy. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards for payment.
Will a glass claim make my insurance rates go up?
In most cases your insurance company will not raise your rates for glass claims due the fact that they are considered a no fault comp. claim. However, you do want to check with your agent to confirm the procedure for each insurance company.
